At North Medical, our goal is to provide you—and your family—with quality, accessible healthcare for every stage of life. As the largest comprehensive primary care medical practice in Central New York, North Medical is evolving as a role model for excellence in primary care delivery across the region. Today’s North Medical consists of five seamlessly integrated practice areas and complementary ancillary services delivered on two convenient suburban campuses (Liverpool and Fayetteville). Although the practice has grown, we remain committed to the vision of Dr. A. John Merola who founded the practice in 1971. He envisioned a facility where patients could access advanced health care services and the expertise of specialist’s right in their own neighborhoods and communities. Today, North Medical is home to more than 70 providers and mid-level practitioners and over 500 employees dedicated to the delivery of quality, accessible healthcare to Syracuse-area residents. On a typical day, the practice sees more than 1,000 patients; most will be able to address many of their medical needs without even leaving the facility. At the core of our practice is the iCare promise. iCare distinguishes North Medical from other practices and provides a set of guiding principles that direct how we interact with our patients, our fellow employees and the community. North Medical, P.C. practice areas include: North Medical Family Physicians: The cornerstone of our practice, our family physicians are able to care for patients at every stage of life. North Medical Urgent Care: Our two facilities are open from 7AM to 11PM every day of the year, including holidays. The Women’s Place: This practice area focus on providing access to quality care for the mature woman’s changing life. North Medical Orthopedics & Rehabilitation: NMOR provides convenient access to orthopedic and pain management specialists. Living Proof Longevity Centre: a unique medical service practice specializing in anti-aging and preventative medicine The availability of advanced ancillary services is one of the greatest distinguishing characteristics of North Medical. Our patients have access to a full-service laboratory, advanced radiology services including x-ray, CT, MRI, and access to a network of specialists without leaving the building or our practice. We understand that patients develop strong bonds with their health care provider and selecting a new provider can be unsettling.
