Dr. Merola-McConn leads the strategic planning and business development activities for the practice. She recognizes that primary care will play a critical role in improving the health of Americans and that providers must continue to evolve by remaining knowledgeable of clinical issues, becoming advocates for patient involvement and education, and promoting healthy lifestyles. Under her leadership, North Medical has expanded the practice’s scope of services to include integrative medicine, strengthened its partnerships with area hospitals and started the process of achieving the Patient Centered Medical Home certification.
Dr. Merola-McConn has practiced primary care and family medicine for over 20 years. In 1998, her innovative thinking led to establishment of The Women’s Place—a practice devoted to the specific health concerns of women. Her passion for anti-aging and preventative medicine led her to form the Living Proof Longevity Center (LPLC) with her husband, Dr. Mark McConn, in 2001. This unique medical practice offers the full spectrum of services specifically designed to address the hormonal and physical shifts associated with the aging process. This practice merged with North Medical in 2008. Dr. Merola-McConn remains an active practitioner and sees patients daily at LPLC.
